Follow these steps:

  1. With a section open, place your cursor where you require the note to appear
  2. Click the "Annotation" icon to open the menu
  3. Click the "Insert note" icon to open the menu
  4. Enter your note text
  5. Set the note as either a footnote or en endnote
  6. Click "Insert" to add the footnote or endnote marker into your text
  7. Hover over the note marker and a popup menu will appear to enable applying caps, deleting or editing the note
    • The grammar tool might consider this a foreign character, click "Ignore"

Tips:

  • Footnote or endnote citation styles will be automatically integrated with any manual notes added to have seamless numbering
  • The "Key Phrase" has been added to capture data for blind endnotes; but these are not yet enabled. Blind endnotes are on our todo list.
