About Preset Styles
A single preset style guide stores all your typography choices for a specific document type (e.g., report, thesis, etc). Every document needs to have a style guide associated with it in the document settings.
The preset style guide populates the typography settings in the writing editor; effectively creating your personalized word processor.
Typography elements in the wizard
- About: information about the style guide
- Global Settings: page settings, margins, and URL format
- Headings & Titles: titles (5) numbered, unnumbered (5), appendix (5_
- Paragraphs & Quotes: 5 types
- Lists: numbered and bulleted
- Captions: 5 types
- Headers & Footers for front matter, body, and back matter
- References: select citation style
- Smart Lists: format 8 lists that will be automatically generated during export
- Terminology: format 6 lists that will be automatically generated during export
Tips:
- Typography can be changed at any time
- A Preset style gets associated with every document
- The same preset style can be associated with many documents (usually of the same type; e.g., a report)
